Dilon nets FDA nod

Breast-specific gamma imaging developer Dilon Diagnostics has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance for its GammaLoc lesion localization system.

A complementary technology to the Dilon 6800 gamma camera, GammaLoc is designed to help doctors accurately locate breast lesions and enable gamma-guided biopsies, according to the Newport News, VA-based vendor. GammaLoc includes the firm's CorreLocator paddle and StereoView imaging collimator system.
