Vancouver, British Columbia-based TRIUMF, Canada's national laboratory for particle and nuclear physics, has received $911,000 ($865,000 U.S.) from the Canadian government to support the facility's medical and pharmaceutical research.
The money will be used to upgrade infrastructure and acquire equipment that creates radiopharmaceuticals for PET imaging. The upgraded equipment also will help keep the facility in compliance with industry standards.
