Radiopharmaceutical developer Blue Earth Diagnostics and Siemens Healthineers subsidiary PETNet Solutions said they have increased the number of radiopharmacies offering Blue Earth's Axumin PET radiopharmaceutical.
PETNet now offers Axumin in 12 metropolitan locations in the U.S., including new sites in Phoenix and Fort Lauderdale, FL, according to the vendors. More locations are also planned for 2017.
The Siemens unit initially commenced exclusive commercial production and distribution of Axumin at two sites in the U.S. in June 2016. The agent is indicated for use in PET imaging to identify suspected recurrent prostate cancer in men who have elevated prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels following prior treatment.
