GE Healthcare showed off new cardiac imaging techniques from its high-definition MR data processing engine at last week's Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) conference in San Francisco.
The 1.5T Excite HD MR Echo Cardiac Imaging offers real-time cardiac imaging at the speed of ultrasound, without the need for breath-holding or ECG gating, according to the Waukesha, WI-based vendor.
Another new technique, Excite HD Tricks angiographic imaging, features a 1.5-tesla 32-element peripheral vascular coil to provide images of the lower leg and foot vessels. ReportCard is a new tool designed to reduce review, analysis, and cardiac MR reporting time.
HDMR is available with GE's Signa 1.5-tesla and 3-tesla MR systems.
