MRI device developer Biophan Technologies said it has signed a letter of intent with two German biomedical researchers, Dr. Arno Bucker and Dr. Alexander Ruebben, to license their cardiovascular stent technology enabling accurate magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) of the interior of vascular stents.
The technology, developed through research at the University of Aachen in Germany, is designed to enable MRI visualizations of implanted stents to assess the occurrence of restenosis, according to Rochester, NY-based Biophan.
