Hologic to sell Esaote MRI units

Imaging vendors Hologic and Esaote have entered into an exclusive distribution and service agreement in the U.S. for extremity MRI systems manufactured by Genoa, Italy-based Esaote.

Under the terms of the agreement, Hologic will sell and service Esaote's extremity MRI line, which is optimized for orthopedic and rheumatology imaging, according to the Bedford, MA-based firm.

The agreement is for an initial term of three years, with automatic one-year renewal options, Hologic said.
