Hologic has traditionally focused on women's imaging, but the Bedford, MA, company will be touting its entry into the U.S. MRI market, thanks to a new relationship with Italian medical imaging developer Esaote.
Hologic inked a deal with Esaote in September for rights to distribute its dedicated extremity scanners. Hologic will concentrate on the outpatient imaging market, where it already participates with its x-ray bone densitometry and C-arm products.
