Everbrite Lighting Technologies will be unveiling an MRI-compatible LED down-light at the 2005 RSNA meeting in Chicago.
The lighting system includes ceiling and wall-mounted graphic panel illuminator (GPI) lightboxes, according to the Milwaukee-based firm. It's rated up to 100,000 hours, representing more than 10 years of continuous use, Everbrite said.
The light is dimmable, and yields equivalent color temperature to incandescent light sources, Everbrite said. Light output is comparable to a 75-watt bulb, according to the company.
