Interventional device developer Ethicon Endo-Surgery of Cincinnati, OH, will feature Mammotome MR, an MRI-guided version of the company's Mammotome breast biopsy device.
The company released Mammotome MR in the U.S. in May. Mammotome MR features an MR-compatible holster, probe, and targeting set design; 8- and 11-gauge probe sizes; and an MR-compatible marker that can be used via the probe or a targeting set. The device uses MRI guidance to cut, vacuum, and remove suspicious breast tissue on an outpatient basis.
