(Booth 5104) ONI Medical Systems of Wilmington, MA, will tout its high-field superconducting MRI technology for musculoskeletal extremity applications, including a new protocol for fat suppression.

The company's MSK Extreme scanner is a 1-tesla unit that began shipping in March 2006. At this year's RSNA show, ONI will demonstrate Smart Fat, a fast spin-echo technique that enables MSK Extreme to better suppress signal from fat, resulting in higher-quality, artifact-free images, according to the company.
