(Booth 4129) Look for Philips Medical Systems of Andover, MA, to highlight new advances for its Achieva and Panorama lines of MRI scanners, including a 1.5-tesla scanner with a higher channel count, and new exam automation protocols.
Philips will launch a new 16-channel version of its Achieva 1.5T scanner at the RSNA show. The system includes the company's SENSE (sensitivity encoding) parallel imaging technology, as well as dedicated coils. The scanner offers better coverage, higher resolution, fewer artifacts, and faster scan times.
To improve workflow, Philips has expanded its SmartExam program of image study automation protocols. The company has added new anatomical regions to the SmartExam family, making it easier for users to perform automated planning, scanning, and data processing with a single mouse click, the company said.
Another Philips MRI highlight will be Achieva XR, a scanner that can be installed at a 1.5-tesla field strength, but upgraded later to 3 tesla without replacing the magnet. Another 3-tesla offering, Achieva 3.0T X-series, enables users to conduct clinical imaging while also exploring advanced applications such as functional MRI and spectroscopy.
In addition, the company will highlight Panorama HFO, a high-field open scanner, as well as a system utilization service that provides detailed analysis of scanner usage, enabling users to operate more efficiently and determine new areas for growth.
