Available in 15 amp and 20 amp, 125 volt versions, the receptacles are constructed without ferrous materials for use in MRI rooms in hospitals, healthcare facilities, medical buildings, imaging centers, and other environments where high magnetic fields are present.

They feature impact-resistant thermoplastic nylon covers and bodies, as well as a dirt-and dust-resistant smooth surface. Large triple-wipe brass "T" contacts provide superior contact and conductivity, according to Leviton. They also feature locked-in wrap-around brass straps, self-grounding brass clips, and brass center bushing.

The receptacles have been approved by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and come with a limited 10-year warranty.
