Philips Healthcare of Andover, MA, has installed its Panorama High Field Open (HFO) MRI at Cuero Community Hospital in Cuero, TX.
The installation is the first in the U.S. to include Philips' new environmentally friendly green features designed to save energy and reduce the scanner's carbon footprint.
A specialized amplifier, cooling technology, and software enable a reduction in energy consumption between scans and when the system is not in use, according to Philips.
