Toshiba America Medical Systems has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for its M-Power MR user interface.
M-Power is a customizable user interface that allows technologists to streamline and accelerate their scanning processes, according to the vendor. In addition to ease-of-use enhancements and mTools personalized workflow, M-Power also features Atlas Compass software, which automates coil selection and turns on the proper coil elements needed for a specific exam, Toshiba said.
M-Power also includes mVox, a volume imaging acquisition sequence that allows acquisition of all 3D imaging planes at one time, according to Toshiba. It will be available for neuro and orthopedic volume imaging applications.
M-Power is available on Toshiba's Vantage Atlas, Vantage Titan 1.5-tesla, and Vantage Titan 3-tesla MR systems.
