Toshiba America Medical Systems has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for its high-density, 16-element, flexible MR coil system, developed in partnership with NeoCoil.
Available for the Vantage Titan 1.5-tesla MRI scanner, the 16-element, flexible coils conform to a patient's anatomy, improving signal-to-noise ratio, Toshiba said. The coils are available in medium and large sizes and are suited for general orthopedic and body imaging. They can be used for general purpose as well as head, neck, and spine imaging, according to the firm.
