Computer-aided detection (CAD) firm iCAD and MRI technology provider Invivo announced they have entered into a global research, development, and commercial agreement.
iCAD will develop advanced MRI image analysis software, which Invivo, a subsidiary of Philips Healthcare, will incorporate into its suite of MRI products.
The first products are expected to be commercially available in the second quarter of 2013. The initial focus of the partnership will be the release of a next-generation platform for prostate and breast imaging, according to the companies.
