Elekta, Philips install MR linac at MD Anderson

Radiation oncology firm Elekta and Philips Healthcare have installed a 1.5-tesla MRI-guided linear accelerator (MR linac) at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

The system is expected to begin operating in a nonclinical capacity by early next year.
