Analogic plans to launch new MR fusion prostate biopsy software for ultrasound at the European Association of Urology (EAU) meeting in London.
The new software, bkFusion, is integrated into Analogic's BK Ultrasound division's bk3000 device, which is designed for use by urologists in hospital and office settings, Analogic said. The software overlays MR information about a lesion's location onto real-time ultrasound images, without the need for an additional workstation, according to the firm.
BK Ultrasound developed bkFusion with the help of medical imaging software developer MIM Software, the company said.
