Siemens Healthineers has completed its first U.S. installation of Magnetom Vida, a 3-tesla MRI scanner.
Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology in St. Louis is the first facility to install the device. The scanner features a 70-cm bore, new magnet design, and high-performance 60/200 XT gradients.
It also includes Siemens' new BioMatrix technology, which is a collection of tools that allow the scanner to automatically adapt to patient anatomical and physiological characteristics, the company said.
