Image-guided radiation therapy developer ViewRay has announced the launch of a multicenter prospective clinical trial on pancreatic cancer to investigate treating patients with MRI-guided radiation therapy.
The study aims to track patient survival and quality of life over a five-year period. Enrollment will open in the coming weeks, according to the company.
ViewRay also said that it joined with the Miami Cancer Institute in Florida to co-host a September 28 symposium and panel discussion on integrating MRI with radiation therapy. ViewRay's MRIdian provides high-contrast soft-tissue images that delineate tumors from the surrounding healthy organs, allowing clinicians to deliver radiation more precisely.
