Brain imaging software developer CorTechs Labs has signed licensing agreements with the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) for it to use UCSD patents on technology related to volumetric MRI in clinical practice.
The technologies will allow CorTechs Labs to utilize specific systems, methods, and software designed to enhance its NeuroQuant, LesionQuant, and PETQuant volumetric imaging software by quantifying communications pathways within the brain and pinpointing regions of pathology as part of an automated processing stream.
The pact also covers advanced techniques for image distortion correction due to magnetic field inhomogeneities and active correction for patient movement in an MRI scanner, which is critical for imaging of some patient populations.
