South Korean startup AIRS Medical has secured clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its artificial intelligence (AI)-based MRI reconstruction software.
SwiftMR uses deep learning trained with high-quality MRI images to improve low-quality images. AIRS Medical launched SwiftMR in South Korea in July; the software has been used with more than 4,000 patients since then, according to the firm.
The company plans to highlight SwiftMR at the upcoming RSNA meeting, it said.
