Fresenius Kabi launches substitute for MRI contrast Gadavist

Fresenius Kabi has released a generic substitute for the MRI contrast agent Gadavist called Gadobutrol Injection.

The agent is a high-relaxivity macrocyclic and is available in the U.S. as a gadolinium-based contrast agent indicated for use with MRI. It comes in 2 mL, 7.5 mL, 10 mL, and 15 mL single-dose vials, Fresenius Kabi said.
