Fujifilm launches open MRI system

Fujifilm Healthcare Americas has launched Aperto Lucent, an open 0.4-tesla MRI system.

The system features Fujifilm's Radar motion compensating pulse sequence technology, Chemical shift-selective (CHESS) type radiofrequency (RF) fat saturation, and signal intensity ratio (SIR) and Dixon-type fat suppression (FatSep) sequences.

Its spatial resolution and high signal-to-noise ratio are supported by solenoid technology RF receiver coils and IP-Recon, Fujifilm's iterative reconstruction algorithm, according to the firm.
