The Varian Award for Achievement in Radiation Therapy will now be called the Varian Radiation Therapy Student Scholarship Program. The program will provide two $5,000 scholarships annually for academically outstanding students who are accepted into an entry-level radiation therapy program.
The deadline for the first round of judging is Feburary 1, 2002. Applications will be available at a reception, hosted by Varian Medical Systems, on November 6 in San Francisco during the meeting of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists.
