The National Cancer Institute will demonstrate its new treatment planning software at the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) conference November 4-8 in San Francisco.
The oncology software is called TPS3D, and will be used with TeraRecon’s 3-D volume-rendering hardware engine, VolumePro, and previewed on the Aquarius workstation made by TeraRecon, based in San Mateo, CA, and used by other OEMs on their workstations and scanners.
The software will be used for radiation treatment planning, dose calculation, and dose optimization, NCI said.
