Burdette acquires Tayman to build brachytherapy business

Burdette Medical Systems is acquiring Tayman Medical, which manufactures a system for positioning of prostate radiation implants.

Champaign, IL-based Burdette develops medical devices, systems, and software for the guidance and visualization of minimally invasive treatments for cancer and other diseases. The acquisition of St. Louis-based Tayman is expected to bring to Burdette complementary software and other products, along with an increased customer base.
