Laura Thevenot will become executive director of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology on July 15. Thevenot comes to the Fairfax, VA-based organization from the Federation of American Hospitals, where she served as COO and executive vice president. She also has worked with the Health Insurance Association of America.
Healthcare association consultant Tom Nelson, who was brought in to serve as interim executive director during the search for a permanent chief executive, will leave ASTRO.
ASTRO members will have the opportunity to meet Thevenot at an October 8 business meeting held during the society’s 2002 conference in New Orleans.
