Radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems is launching a three-month program to retrofit its GammaMed brachytherapy afterloader customers with its BrachyVision treatment-planning software. By adding Varian's BrachyVision 3-D image processing capabilities, GammaMed customers will be able to guide placements of radiation sources and deliver doses more precisely, according to the Palo Alto, CA-based vendor. The special offer is available from November 1 through January 2003.
