Treatment center operator Radiation Therapy Services (RTS) reported fourth-quarter revenue of $64.4 million, up 41.1% compared with the $45.6 million posted in the fourth quarter of 2004. For the period (end-December 31), the Fort Myers, FL-based firm had net income of $6.7 million, compared with net income of $5 million a year ago.
For the year, RTS booked total revenue of $227.3 million, up 32.6% compared with the $171.4 million recorded in 2004. The company had 2005 net income of $25 million, compared with net income of $9.2 million in 2004.
The company's 2005 financial results exceeded the long-term growth targets RTS had stated since going public in 2004, according to the firm. Excluding acquisition activity, RTS said it expects 2006 revenue to range between $255 million and $270 million, with earnings per share to range between $1.25 and $1.28 per share.
