Radiation therapy company Varian Medical Systems has sold four linear accelerators to Bangladesh.
Three of the company's Clinac linear accelerators will be installed at the National Institute of Cancer Research Hospital (NICRH) in Dhaka, while the fourth system will be installed at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Previously there were only two linear accelerators in the entire country, both of which were more than 10 years old, according to the Palo Alto, CA, company.
