Varian adds Australian install

Radiation oncology vendor Varian Medical Systems has installed two Clinac iX linear accelerators and a Trilogy machine at the Sir Charles Gairdner Centre in Perth, Australia.

The new facility is the only public radiotherapy department in Western Australia serving 2.1 million people in an area the size of Europe, according to the Palo Alto, CA-based vendor.
