Elekta gets FDA nod

Swedish radiation therapy firm Elekta has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance for its Gamma Knife Perfexion stereotactic radiosurgery system.

The system will come with Elekta's GammaPlan client-based treatment planning system, which received FDA clearance in July, according to the Stockholm-based firm.
