Radiation oncology developer Varian Medical Systems has signed a new purchasing agreement with group purchasing organization Consorta of Schaumberg, IL.
The agreement covers all of Palo Alto, CA-based Varian's equipment and software for image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT), intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT), and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), as well as its brachytherapy equipment and software, according to Consorta.
Consorta said that its members will have access to Varian's Clinac and Trilogy medical linear accelerators, Acuity simulator, Eclipse treatment planning software, Aria oncology information system, VariSource and GammaMed afterloaders, and BrachyVision treatment planning system for delivering brachytherapy treatments.
