Radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems said that University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center in Baltimore has begun treating patients with the firm's Trilogy linear accelerator.
The device can deliver all forms of external-beam radiation therapy -- from conventional radiation treatment and intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) to image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT) and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), according to Palo Alto, CA-based Varian.
