Advanced visualization software developer Actuality Systems of Bedford, MA, will tout its new PerspectaRad software for radiation oncology treatment planning at this month's RSNA show.
PerspectaRad integrates with the Pinnacle3 treatment-planning system from Philips Medical Systems of Andover, MA. It enables the creation and review of radiation oncology treatment plans, particularly for 4D and noncoplanar treatment, according to the company.
Key features include Perspecta Display, in which hologram-like "floating" displays of CT scans are overlaid with multiple energy-beam trajectories, and 3D projection of anatomical distances with a virtual ruler. The software also supports dose/region-of-interest coverage simulation data.
PerspectaRad is currently in clinical trials and will be shown as a work-in-progress.
