NCCN adds breast cancer hyperthermia therapy to guidelines

According to brachytherapy and hyperthermia therapy developer BSD Medical of Salt Lake City, the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) has added hyperthermia therapy and radiation as combination treatments in its 2007 Breast Cancer Guidelines for recurrent cancer of the chest wall and other localized cancer recurrences.

The NCCN is a nonprofit alliance of 20 cancer centers worldwide that issues clinical guidelines in oncology, BSD said.
