Intraop delivers Mobetron to Japan

Intraoperative radiation therapy firm Intraop Medical has delivered a Mobetron to the Gunma Prefectural Cancer Center in Japan.

The mobile, self-shielded device from the Sunnyvale, CA, company is designed to deliver intraoperative electron-beam radiation therapy (IOERT) to cancer patients during tumor-removal surgery.

Intraop has delivered 19 Mobetron units worldwide, including three units in Japan.
