IBt inks IBA distribution deal

Radiotherapy and brachytherapy implant developer International Brachytherapy (IBt) of Seneffe, Belgium, has signed a distribution agreement with radioisotope manufacturer and nuclear medicine products firm Ion Beam Applications (IBA) of Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium.

The agreement grants IBt exclusive distribution rights for IBA's Visicoil product in the U.K., Ireland, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and France, as well as a nonexclusive distribution right in Austria.

Visicoil is a gold marker used in image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) procedures that can be implanted to allow more accurate targeting and higher dose deliveries, according to IBt.
