Core Oncology buys Mills brachytherapy unit

Core Oncology of Santa Barbara, CA, has completed its acquisition of brachytherapy technology developer Mills Biopharmaceuticals from the division's previous owner, Coloplast.

Founded in 1992, Mills is the third-largest domestic supplier of iodine-125 and palladium-103 seeds for low-dose prostate brachytherapy treatment. The company's ProstaSeed product has been commercially available since April 1999.
