Elekta grows sales in year-end report

Swedish radiation therapy firm Elekta advanced the company's sales in its just-completed fiscal year (end-April 30).

Net sales for the Stockholm-based company rose 2% to 4.5 billion kronor ($636 million). Operating profit totaled to 509 million kronor ($72 million).

Order bookings rose 8% to 5.1 billion kronor ($721 million.). Order backlog reached a record 4.2 billion kronor ($593 million).

For the current fiscal year, Elekta expects net sales growth of more than 10% (based on kronor) and operating profit growth of more than 30%.
