Radiation therapy developer North American Scientific (NAS) will be debuting its BatCam Multi-Probe image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) offering at this week's annual meeting of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) in Minneapolis.
BatCam Multi-Probe integrates a new multiprobe-capable ultrasound system into BatCam, according to the Chatsworth, CA-based vendor. It includes an updated abdominal ultrasound probe to provide IGRT for liver and pancreas treatments, NAS said.
Optional add-ons include a biplanar rectal probe for prostate volume studies and prostate brachytherapy, as well as a wideband linear probe for verification of accelerated partial-breast irradiation (APBI) brachytherapy devices. BatCam Multi-Probe is expected to begin shipping in August.
