Intraoperative radiation therapy firm Intraop Medical of Sunnyvale, CA, has posted its third-quarter 2007 financial results (end-June 30).
The company recorded $2.4 million in sales for the nine months ended in June, a 3.3% increase over the same period in 2006. The firm's net loss was $7 million through the third quarter as compared to last year.
During the quarter, the company delivered its first Mobetron system to China. It also received notice from the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that a specific code for intraoperative electron-beam radiation therapy (IOERT) performed in the operating room has been issued, effective October 1.
