Varian, BrainLab team up

Varian Medical Systems of Palo Alto, CA, and image-guided therapy developer BrainLab of Germany have partnered to introduce the Novalis Tx stereotactic radiosurgery system.

Novalis Tx integrates Varian's Trilogy Tx linear accelerator and new HD120 multileaf collimator, and will use a number of standard and configurable options such as Varian's On-Board Imager device, BrainLab's ExacTrac X-Ray 6D room-mounted x-ray imaging system, BrainLab's iPlan treatment planning software, and Varian's Eclipse treatment planning software and Aria information management software, according to Varian.
