Radiation therapy firm North American Scientific (NAS) has signed a three-year agreement with Carbon Medical Technologies of St. Paul, MN, to sell gold and carbon markers.
NAS will market the markers under its PreciseMarC brand. The products, used by radiation oncologists during prostate cancer procedures, have U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance.
NAS estimates the localization markers market for radiation oncology to be approximately $50 million, with many of its current customers using the markers.
