Sicel lands Henry Ford contract

Dosimetry developer Sicel Technologies of Morrisville, NC, has installed its Dose Verification System (DVS) at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.

The facility is the first in Detroit to begin using DVS, a wireless, implantable radiation sensor that allows doctors to receive data on the amount of radiation being delivered to tumors and surrounding tissue. Henry Ford will offer the technology to patients receiving treatments for prostate or breast cancer.
