Swedish radiation therapy software developer RaySearch Laboratories said that partner Philips Healthcare of Andover, MA, has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance for its SmartArc volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) treatment planning software.
The planning option is now available as a module on Philips' Pinnacle3 version 9 radiation treatment planning software, according to RaySearch of Stockholm.
