Swedish oncology firm Elekta of Stockholm has won a contract with one of the largest nonprofit group purchasing organizations (GPO) in the U.S. for its oncology delivery systems.
Magnet Cooperative has signed a sole-source agreement with Elekta that allows it to offer its members Elekta's products, including Synergy, a digital linear accelerator; Synergy S, an image-guided robotic linear accelerator; Axesse, a stereotactic treatment management system for neurosurgeons and radiation oncologists; and Infinity, a radiation therapy system for cancer treatments that incorporates Elekta's volumetric modulated arc therapy, Elekta said.
Magnet serves approximately 11,000 healthcare providers, including hospitals, alternate care facilities, and physician practices and clinics.
