The American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) has launched a national program creating Authorized User (AU) Training Centers for physicians wanting to provide radiopharmaceutical therapy.
This initiative aims to expand patient access and increase the number of physicians certified to provide the safe delivery of emerging cancer treatments. The program is supported by an educational grant from Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation.
Program attendees learn directly from experienced radiation oncology clinicians in a training environment that supports multidisciplinary collaboration.
Participants also receive free access to ASTRO’s online “Beyond the Beam” training series and other educational resources to support the implementation of safe, high-quality radiopharmaceutical therapy programs. Eligible applicants must be ASTRO members and complete Nuclear Regulatory Commission or Agreement State training requirements.
More information can be found on ASTRO's website.
