The American College of Radiology's (ACR) Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG) has named Dr. Jeffrey D. Bradley of Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis as chair of its Lung Cancer Committee.
Bradley is an associate professor of radiation oncology at the university, where he also serves as chief of thoracic services and director of the S. Lee Kling Center for Proton Therapy.
As the chair of the RTOG Lung Cancer Committee, Bradley will serve on the RTOG Research Strategy Committee and work with investigators from the group's scientific core committees for translational research, advanced technology, symptom management, medical oncology, surgery, and pathology to develop and report on protocols designed to improve the outcome and quality of life of lung cancer patients.
Bradley succeeds Dr. Hak Choy, chair of therapeutic oncology research at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, as RTOG Lung Cancer Committee chair.
